Benefits of purple rice

Not only does it contain a great amount of nutrition, but purple rice is also reckoned to be beneficial for health.

Purple rice is a good source of fiber and protein for the human body. Using purple rice regularly is believed to strengthen physical health. In addition, having purple rice in daily meals will help the body replenish iron and antioxidants. Hence, the market of purple rice is now booming, creating the potential for exporters and importers to trade it.

Liver function

Liver damage can derive from oxidative stress. Food with antioxidants can help reduce the level of oxidative stress. Thus, the antioxidants in purple rice can strengthen liver health. Purple rice’s cholesterol-lowering properties can also benefit the liver. According to a study in 2012, mice eating purple rice extract, compared to those that were fed with a fattening diet, had lower levels of liver disease markers.

Cardiovascular benefits

Antioxidants in purple rice have been tested to improve health conditions and reduce the threat of certain cancers. The body naturally produces free radicals, but if too many accumulate, oxidative stress can occur. Many health problems, like heart disease, are compounded by oxidative stress. So the purple rice is a good source of protection from these health problems.
